Percussion

Melinda Leoce is a percussionist with over 11 years of experience. Her percussion career has taken her all over the United States and abroad in London, Belgium, and Lithuania. She has studied with Jeff Moore and Kirk Gay and has participated in various master classes with performers such as Tom Freer, Gordon Stout, Andy Harnsberger, Chris Coleman, and Third Coast Percussion. Melinda has marching experience with both Magic Drum and Bugle Corps (2004) and Carolina Crown (2005-2006) where she marched in the snareline and placed within the top 8 internationally for two years. Her teaching experience includes working with Cypress Creek High School, Boone High School, and Seminole High School. In 2007, she helped Boone's drumline win the high honor of Best Percussion in the state of Florida. In addition, her private students have gone on to earn superior ratings at the FBA Solo and Ensemble festival and have successful auditions.
